Meghan Likes to Golf!

Meghan told me that she likes golf. She's been practicing her 'GAP.' She also showed James how to correctly do the handgrip. James then he said wanted to play golf, but I told him that he needs to stick with baseball and football. Can you imagine James playing golf? He'd get mad because he'd have to wear a shirt with a collar.
I hope you're enjoying your weekend in St.Louis. My house is very quiet and I like it that way! :-)

Busy Week!

We had a busy week last week and it continues this week! James had another baseball game last Thursday night and he actually got to pitch. They were already losing 11-0 in the second inning, so it was his turn. He was VERY nervous--He told me that he doesn't like people starring at him. His results weren't that spectacular...three walks, a triple, a single, and a strike out. After the inning, he was actually teary-eyed in the dugout...Poor fella! He must not have done too badly, though, because he was practicing with the pitching coach at practice last night.
Meghan has golf Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week (weather permitting) and I think that she really enjoys it. She was wearing her visor over the weekend when she was playing with Olivia.
Tonight I get my hair cut and highlighted (FINALLY!!) and James has a ball game. I hope that I can get there in time to watch. I think it's really fun to go and I enjoy sitting with the other moms, especially Lori, Lynne, and Dannette.
Julie M. is coming down from Iowa tomorrow. She's working downtown and I'm going to meet her for dinner.
Thursday is also a fun/busy day. James has a game and we have a retirement dinner for Richard, the counselor at Gracemor who is retiring. I'm moving into his office this week. My principal expected him to be out by Monday, but that didn't happen. Now all of my office things are stacked in the social worker's office. The new counselor at my school is named Maria. I don't know here--She's one of the counselors at NKC High School and she works part time. Wouldn't that be nice!!??!!
This weekend is Memorial Day--Yeah! I love three day weekends. I believe that Ron is going to the lake Friday evening. The 'gang' is going to eat at Bentley's (a steak house in town) and I know he won't want to miss that. I actually don't mind that he's going and I'm not. I plan to just relax, shop, and play with the kiddies. The water park opens Saturday, so maybe I'll take them there.
Nick starts working this weekend too. I wonder if it will interefere with his time with Aynsley......

Baseball Tournament

We had more exciting games at the ball park this weekend. Unfortunately, they didn't get to play in the championship game, but they tried their best!

James, improving his skills as third baseman, eyes a pop fly!!

He caught it for the out. Matt Franklin is running over to help.

Getting ready to throw it to homeplate...

He looks very relieved!

Just admiring his 'handy-work'...

And we can't forget our little girl, entertaining herself playing with the rocks...

My Weekend

Here is a glimpse into what my weekend will entail. I did, however, make sure to make a pedicure appointment. How am to adquately take care of others if I don't take care of myself first?!?!?

Jackson's Art Auction

Well...I got my consignor's listing from Jackson's today. They estimated the sale at $800-$1,400. I wonder what Grandma would want me to do with the proceeds...Speaking of Grandma's...Wouldn't they love Meggie? Just in my thoughts today...

Job Numero Dos

I'm contemplating quitting my second job at the end of the summer. Since I plan to pursue National Board certification, I would rather spend time with the kiddies and concentrate more on school. I've grown very tired of going to a job (at 6:00 in the evening, no less) that I really don't care for anymore. Any thoughts???

Mother's Day 2011!

Mother's Day 2011 began with church. We were only ten minutes late~That's pretty good for us! The 9:00 Jazz Trio played a great rendition of "When the Saints go Marching In." Walter said that it reminded him of his mom.

The Mueller's then made the treck to Overland Park to see the other part of our family. It was nice to Grandmommy before she heads to Kansas City. She and Ron had a great time visiting.

Dad also made a great dinner! Yum! At least he didn't knock over the grill this time. That would have been a sight to see.

Here is Dad "being Dad!" Some things never change!!! I woudn't want them to, though!!

It's always nice to see Ryan! I wonder what's going to happen with Jessica.....

Here is a great picture of Mom and Kirsten before they went shopping for shoes for Nicholas and James. Mom is looking good!

Happy Mother's Day!

When I think of Mom, I think of family. Like she always says, none of these people would be here if it weren't for her!
